I'm wanting to build a 10 gallon Frag tank. I want to keep it simple and just put beginner Frags in it. I'm not sure what all I need besides a 10 gallon tank and heater.

Hey, filter 4 sure... I have a 10g i use with a aqueon HOB. Rated for 20gal. Works great for me. I have a bit of everything in it.

Will you be plumbing this into your main system or will it be a stand alone tank? If you're plumbing it in, then you probably won't need a filter or heater bc your filtration and heater for your display should be sufficient for an extra 10g, but if it's not going to be plumbed in, then I'd go with everything goodtimes recommended.

Nanos that small are always tough due to the lack of consistent water parameters....even with wc's weekly and filtration, you won't be able to keep more than one nano fish...and will have to stick with easy corals like softies and zoas....I garauntee you will be upgrading soon...so why not just get a larger system..the jbj all in one nanos 18g+ are pretty decent.

Weekly water changes is going to be the key to success I think.

+1 on the water changes. A 10 gallon tank is not going to be forgiving in level fluctuations. If you can get a bigger tank go for it. And even better would be to drill the tank and tie it into your main tank

But all the advice above is spot on
