Need help with glass door for diy stand

I've never made a glass door and I'm having a hard time figuring out what and how to do it. I want glass to cover the whole front of the stand opening.

I'm thinking european hinges and some type of soft latch. I had hoped I could call a local shop but they said I can get the glass cut but I need to know what I want.

I would like either frosted or black glass, is there a reliable online place I could order from without breaking the bank?

Or am I on the right track getting hardware and having a local shop cut to size?

Is european the way to go or are the trapping kind reliable enough to use?

Not sure where to buy cheap glass, whenever i've needed glass they usually have glass in stock for me where im getting it cut. I have also gone to home depot bought glass scored it and broke it to the size I need. I then polish the edges.
