Due to a sick yellow tang my aquarium got infected with ich and all fish except for my 2 clowns ended up dying however, a week after that 1 of the clowns got really bad ich and died as well. Ever since then I have been dosing prazi pro every 4-5 days and it has been 2 1/2 weeks since the death of my infected clown. I just have 1 clown left in my tank and it shows no symptoms of ich and is doing great, how will I know if there is still ich in my tank? When should I consider adding new fish? Is there any way I can check for ich? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If it was indeed ich in the tank it needs to go fallow and the remaining fish put into qt with meds. Need to be sure first it was ich. Humblefish has good info on disease and also a fallow period.

It does sound like you are putting in fish without QT or maybe to early. Do you have a qt process that you follow?

Prazipro won't treat ich. It treats worms. So as mentioned above you will want to go fallow for 76 days, and treat your fish for ich with a proven method. Hypo, TTM, copper or CP. I recommend copper as it's easy to use and monitor the level.

Are you sure it wasn't velvet?

Clowns won't usually succumb to ich. Do you have pics of the fish when they were infected?
