I purchased this rock a few years ago in a fish store down in FL. The owner of the store said he didn't know what kind of rock it was. I got it because it looked kind of cool. But I never ended up using it. I just found it again after moving to Tennessee. It was originally a brownish color, you can still kinda see the brown on the bottom. The top color has since faded (possibly sun bleach, not sure). It's way lighter than it looks and is very porous. I originally thought it might be volcanic, but someone else suggested it's diy. It just doesn't look or feel that way to me. Any help in Id would be awesome.

different. Having trouble uploading. I'll have them up in just a few

Ones in picture are what is referred to as base rock

But is it any specific type? It's just different from my other rock. I'm assuming it would be fine and not leach anything into my water?
If youre concerned about leaching, soak in bleach and wash /rinse in cold water until you cant smell the bleach anymore and allow to sun dry. Its like a wild base rock.
