Need help with id

Can someone tell me what this is and whether or not it is harmful? I just noticed this in the last week or so.

If you're referring to the white tubes, I believe those are sponges or vermetid snails. Picture is kind of fuzzy Either way they're harmless filter feeders

Yes there is alot of algae.. Bro is changing wet-dry sump to socked sump. We're working on it..

That was the clearest I could get. My hands shake when I use my phone for pictures. They look like white tubes with an opening o the end. Where do they come from?

They'll come in on rock sometimes. I got them in my Biocube about 3 months after I set it up with dry rock. I figure the only way they got in is with the water I was changing every week, or on the CUC shells, because the rock came out of a quarry and is ancient. They are a natural progression of the process and may or may not survive. I've been told they are "pineapple sponges".

They're gone. I had to tear down the tank after a HUGE Bubble Algae outbreak. Sterilized it and started with new rock. Yours look like siphonophore sponges. They will probably disappear over time, or your crabs may eat em. Completely harmless filter feeders.
