been finding these in my tank. every time i do a water change and shut off all flow in the tank, these will come up to the surface. i have been finding 1-2 every time but today i found six, which has me a little worried.
they are quite small about 2.5 mm or 3/32 inches.
please let me know what you guys think it can be

thanks

*edit- btw pic 1 is from a crappy cellphone microscope, but everything here is the same thing.

Copepods, reef safe.
Napulii have odd shapes and appendage like things, i am terrible at iding species so going to try lol.

Thanks Gareth
this little thing are already as big as tisbee pods they look and move like jellyfish, so pods was the last thing i thought it could be.

anyone else think it could be some type of pod?

Hydroids jelly, reefsafe and will disappear as the tank ages.

well thats 2 for hydroids,

just looked them up, they dont seem any better than aiptasia :(

No, those are colonial hydroids. These are medusa hydroids, juvenile jellyfish, which are harmless and will disappear in time :)

ok, cool. i just thought that medusa stage meant they would eventually anchor down to become full blown hydroids (which seem to be pest from a quick google search)

but since two ppl (so far) say they are reef safe and will eventually go away, that makes me feel better.

These are typically found in newer setups. I’m assuming yours is on the newer side? I’ve had them every time I set up a tank. They’re the least of your worries.

Right you are. It's been up for 5 months now including pre cycle.
