First off wonderful resources here thanks for the great community and wealth of shared information. I am new here, and new to the salt world. I have been in the aquarium hobby for some time and just took the salty dive.

My current setup is a 75g display mixed dry rock and a few seed live rocks. Sump/fuge is 20g.
5g ato. Running a apex for control.
120g uv in sump along with counter current skimmer. Alge barn refugium starter(chato, bio blocks, pods, photo). Two black box leds with a custom arduino to do 0-10v from apex to pwm to the lights. Two jabeo wave pumps also controlled by the apex. Also running a fluvela canister and a under sand jet.

Pramaters.

Salt - 35
Temp - 79 to 80
Ph - 7.5 to 8
Nh3/nh4 - 0
No2 - .5
No3 - 0 - 5
Phosphorus - 100ppb
Alk,doh - 6.5
Cal, ppm - 466
Mag - untested ( but can be )

10% water changes once a week with rodi. Live stock at the moment is a pair of clowns. Cuc is on the decline. Tank have been up for two to three months.

So now I have what I think are dinos but am unsure. Ugly brown mess on rocks sand glass.
When the lights are on it will have small bubbles on it/them. I have been unsuccessful with a positive id, and therefore treatment is not faring well. Attached are some photos an microscopy of the culprit.

Thanks for any and all help.

I have tried 3-day blackout with mixed results.
It did die back but came right back. Ran the UV the entire time. Now UV is on a timer. Filter sock changed every few days. Have been blasting the rock work and with a turkey baster. Dosing phytoplankton, microbacter7, and Dr. Tims waste away. As of now, it is somewhat under control. Still, present but getting better. Gha has made an appearance and I'm leaving it be for the time being as it is more desirable at the moment than whatever this junk is. Still looking for a confirmation on id. And the cuc is down to just two nassarius and to trocus and a free series.
Fish seem unaffected thus far. Will try to get some better quality pic of the tank soon.

Whatever it is, I believe it's unicellular. Correct me if I'm wrong. How old is your tank?
It is around three to four months
