Need help with lighting

awesome good start. What sort of setup are you running? Is there a sump, refugium or protein skimmer? Also buy any test kits yet?
I purchased a custom AIO kit by fijicube designed for a 20g long. And will be doing weekly water changes to eliminate a skimmer. Haven’t bought test kits yet since I won’t need them ATM. I’m waiting on rock from brs then cure once I get them

Perfect, you may need to add a powerhead for flow and some coarse sand (suggestion) and you are set.

And some test kits. I recommend salifert and red sea pro kits for cheapest and still reliable kits. Ammonia, Nitrate, Phosphate, pH, calcium, kH, and magnesium. These are the bare minimum to test for in reef tanks

I think I’ll go with the 2 ai primes any recommendations on the settings
Great choice, I have two over my IM 30l, how about this light schedule:

Hello, I am new to reefing and need help with lighting. I am starting up a 20gallon long nano reef. I will be keeping mainly softies and lps. What lights are recommended that aren’t too expensive???
The light depends on what you want to keep in the tank. You can get a current marine light that will do just fine for a fish only tank - and perhaps LPS. If you want high grade SPS (not recommended) - you will need more... IMHO
