Need Help with my Brand New 29 Gallon Bio Cube

Hey guys!

I'm brand new here and I'm so excited. My dad bought a 125 gallon tank a few months ago and I have become so obsessed with this that I had to get my own 29 gallon bio cube. He is going to help me of course, but I am very new to this and wanted some advice. My plan is to get a seabae anemone and a pair of onyx clownfish that will hopefully host the anemone. With that said, I wanted to ask how many other fish I can get and what kinds get along with clown fish? I plan on putting these fish in before I put the clowns in since they can get very territorial. I also plan on putting the anemone in first so it can find it's spot and I can put some other corals in other locations (obviously away from the anemone so it won't sting them). My tank will first cycle with live rock and also black live sand (I'm super excited about the black sand because I think it's going to make the corals and vibrant colors pop). Please let me know what advice you have for fish, other types of anemones (if you think it's better than a seabae), types of corals, etc. Any advice is appreciated and I'm so excited to get into this hobby! First off I think you could comfortably add two more fish with the clownfish pair. The anemone and most sps and some lps will need stronger lights than the stock biocube lighting so look into upgrades for that. Assuming you upgrade lights, I would wait a couple months before the anemone.

A possum wrasse are excellent nano fish along with some gobies. Two shrimp will be fine. Zoas and palys are pretty easy. Mushrooms, green star polyps, Xenia are all pretty easy but can be invasive. Most lps are pretty easy to. Some sps like birdsnest and montis are pretty easy to care for.

I'm scared to wait for the anemone in case it wants to move and I don't want it to move and sting all my corals. I wanted it to get it's spot and make sure it's settled. Why do you say to wait? Also, what lights would you recommend (at a reasonable price)

I hear what your saying, but nems like stable water parameters so until you feel comfortable with your water parameters I would wait. Umm the stock lighting would keep most soft corals and lps, some sps like birdsnest. But I don't know if the stock light could handle an anemone. My lfs just set up a biocube 29 and they added two anemones to it. I'll call them tomorrow and see what they think on theirs.
