Above you will see some time lapse pics of a Dimpled Lobo I purchased from an online coral sale about a month ago. As you can see, it's not doing so well. At first it was eating fine, but now if I put food in it it'll just sit there. It has gotten bleached over the past few weeks and shriveled up quite a bit. Any suggestions on what I can do to help this guy out? My water parameters are:

Amonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-0
PH-8.2
Phosphate-0
Calcium-480
Magnesium-1350
Alkalinity-8 dkh
Salinity-1.022-1.023
Temp-80 degrees

My tank is a 29 gallon Biocube with a full spectrum 160 watt LED fixture hanging about 15 inches above the water. I've upgraded the return pump to a maxijet 1200 and put a Koralia 850 power head in it. For filtration I'm running chemi pure elite, Purigen, phosban, Seachem denitrate, and two pieces of Eshopps sump foam.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, this little guy looks like he is on his last leg and I'd like to save him.

I'm not an expert on this particular coral but it sounds like you are running quite a bit of media. Why so much? Your water may be too clean at this point.

Well I took a long weekend for the 4th of July and left my sister in-law in charge of feeding my tank (bad decision), and when I came back there was a bit of a green hair algae issue. At that point I added the phosban. However, from what I've read, most other biocube owners all use the same combination of media (aside from maybe the denitrate). I used the denitrate as a replacement media for the bioballs that came with the system when I bought it. Also, the issues with the lobo had started prior to the 4th, although I'm sure the over feeding and algae outbreak have added to its deterioration.

I choose to run the media I did solely based off what I had seen most other Biocube owners using. The phosban was a late addition to the mix, and was only added, because of the green algae problem I previously mentioned and the high phostphate levels that resulted from it.. The sump sponges and the Seachems Denitrate (which are a small rock type media inside of a mesh bag) are my "mechanical filtration." The Chemi-Pure Elite and Purigen were acting as my chemical filtration and used to filter out copper or any other unwanted impurities as well as to give my water a crisp clear look. My water parameters are exactly where I want them, I'm just not sure why the Lobo isn't doing as well as I would like. Everything else in the tank seems to be fine other than the Lobo, maybe it's just an adjustment period it's going through?

To much media. LPs don't seem to like pristine water. I have a carpet lobo very similar and they are tough to kill. Also 160w LEDs on a 29 seems like alot. I would shade it and put it in moderate flow. While feeding it turn off your pumps. When they are in that shape it takes them a long time to have a feeding response
