Hey guys I need some help with plumbing my overflow. I have it configured a couple different ways.
Option 1:

Or
Option 2:

I'll be able to control the flow with the second option but I can't use both bulkheads in the sump because there isn't enough room. Thanks in advance guys!

OK I see what your saying now, is that 1 and 1/2 inch pipe? If so you shouldn't need the second bulkhead or you could remove the first union (closest to the tank) and install a ball valve in its place with a street elbow.

If that is intended to be a BeanAnimal drain, or a Herbie with a return line?

If I was plumbing from scratch, I'd do Bean, every time. Assuming you are doing Herbie, option 2 is better because you can control flow in your return and tune your primary drain to a full siphon and leave the other one as a dry emergency.

Arron209 this is off Subject but are you in merced?
I'm in Modesto. Thanks for the input.

I'm doing herbie. The middle pipe is the emergency. Thanks for the advice.
