I have a 10 gallon tank and was cheap( I know) and got a biocube protein skimmer and put it in my tank. Iv had it for over 24 hours And its not building up and of that slimy foam. When I check the cup there is water in it but its pretty much clear. I have the bubbles set where everyone says it should be. I don't know what to do. Is my tank to clean??

That's it with it bubbling and without the cup on it.

Yes, your tanks too clean. One of the best Ive seen!
Just remove thoseaiptasia anemones and you'll be okay.

How long have you had the skimmer running for?

Yes Aiptasia are a pest and can sting the coral around it. Its best to get it under control now then later when you have more.

It's been over 24 hours I know it takes 24-48 hours but even today it's not doing it still and how do I get rid of them?

Get some Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime(or any Kalkwasser Mix), make a slurry/paste, put it into a syringe and apply to the opened Aiptasia. For those that you can't see, I'd get a couple of Peppermint Shrimp (Lysmata wurdemanni), and let them chow down.

Give it some time to break in some take a while. And yes aptasia are bad they will sting and aggrevate coral.

I would say there is. Also it takes a few days for the skimmer to break in. Now this info is only from what I have read. I won't be starting my first tank until this weekend.
Someone else could give you much better advice than me.
Good luck

Be patient... it may take a couple days for it to produce any skimmate.

Before I bought mine I read reviews on alot of units and some had break in times as long as two weeks, some a few hours. just depends on the tank and skimmer.
