Hi everyone!
I picked up a Randall's goby 3 weeks ago. After acclimation I placed him in my
quarantine tank. First 2 weeks he seemed fine. He ate flakes, pellets, frozen and
I think a good amount of pods. About a week ago he stopped eating and I noticed
white patches on his fins where he rested on the bottom...also look like a bit of his
fins had eroded. I administered a course of Furan 2 hoping it would clear up his fins.
After 6 days from the time I started Furan 2, his fins look fine but he still refuses to eat.
I picked up some live brine shrimp yesterday and turned the filter off when I fed him, so
it would be easy pickings for him, but he seemed more annoyed buy all the live shrimp
swimming by him then he was interested in eating them.
Besides not eating, he seems pretty normal. His color looks good, and he moves about the tank.
Should I start treating him for something internal? I dont want to stress him out with more meds
but I also hate seeing him on the road to starving to death.
Water parameters have good....have been doing water changes with the Furan 2 and keeping
track of any ammonia because of the antibiotics affecting the bio filter.
Any suggestions would be appreciated,
Mike
