Need help with red sea max 250 c series

Has anyone took out the t5s from the hood and put leds in the hood? the shop by me bio reeF said 2 ai primes would be great but don’t know how to . so trying to see if anyone has done it and how did it work? I need the hood cause my 3 year old daughter. when she gets older I’m gonna do another rimless

I have not personally done it. I'm sure it can be done without too much modification to the hood. My biggest concern would be with the primes being that close to the waterline, you may get a spotlight effect. The higher they are from the water, the better the blending between the two lights. I'd be interested to see what it looks like.
