Hi guys, I am upgrading my Red Sea max e 170. One thing that really confused me is that how many pump do I need? So there is a old pump that come with the tank sit in the back chamber. Now I have add a sump in do I still need that running and get a new pump for the sump or I can move my old pump into the sump? Many thanks

you can possibly use the same pump if it is appropriately strong enough.
I probably did not explain it quite well. I was asking if I need one pump in back chamber and one in sump or just one in sump.

if you have a sump, I'm not sure why you need the back chamber at all. You could keep it as is and have 2 filters effectively with 2 pumps, or remove the divider that creates the back chamber and just have one pump for the sump return.
