I need help with picking rounding out my stocking list for my tank. I have a 175g tank which is a mixed reef, sps dominated.

I currently have a true perc mating with a ocellaris, a beautiful Blue tang, a heniochus Dipherues, a copperband butterfly, and a melanurus wrasse. All these fish have been with me for 2 years and are happy healthy and well established.

I am looking to add some more fish and I want to add more show piece/rare fish. I am looking to add one pink fish for my daughter. I was thinking a Mccosker Wrasse. Is there any other, more striking, rare wrasses or pink fish I should consider? I also want to add one or two more tangs for algae clean up. I was thinking either a yellow (boring) or a purple tang (not as good of an eater) and a Kole (boring) or a Striped Bristletooth (checks the rare box). Ay other ideas for rare/ beautiful algae eaters?

I would like one more rare show piece fish like a emperor angel (not reef safe) or something like that. I just cant decide what to get. What would make a good rare center piece fish within $300

If I was willing to spend the money, the Lineatus wrasse is about the prettiest one I have seen.

Agreed, get a lineatus or maybe a rhomboidalis. Just make sure you have a mesh lid. My lineatus broke his back on my glass one after two weeks.

If pink I would add Pintail - both orange with striking pink stripes. There's a lineatus in this pic too. Both very peaceful with what you have in the tank already.

If you wanted to add a tang for clean up I would look to the White tail bristletooth tang. Just a beautiful tang - almost purple hue to it - and always picking and searching.

I have seen the white tail bristle tooth. That is an option. I was worried it would be not as bright or vibrant.

I like the white tail bristle tooth as well. Check out a mustard tang if you are looking for interesting patterns over color.

Well I'm looking to see if i can locate a lineatus wrasse. If not I will go with a mccoskers. I like that the lineatus get bigger. (5-6) I still like the look and color of the mccoskers wrasse though.

I'm still considering the white tail bristle tooth tang. If I can find one.

[emoji50]Broke it’s back? Really?

I have seen a few WT Bristletooth’s pop up on Live Aquaria recently. I would just keep an eye on their. Otherwise if you have the option of a LFS they usually have “ins” with wholesalers.

Anthias are a great colorful fish. A small group of them would look great! Pink colors, show-caliper Fish.

I was going to try to get a school of chromis going. But too plain again.

Some sort of spinal damage. Came home one day and it could really no longer swim, just had a major tail droop and got blown around. Was perfectly healthy the rest of the time I had it until then. Eventually it stopped eating and withered away.
