Need help with skimmer going crazy

Have a Aquamaxx HOB 1.5 skimmer with bubble stop sponge on outlet. Evrything was going fine last few months pulling out dark skim. 2 days ago I performed a 25% WC on my 66g reef tank. All i added was Seachem stress guard for 2 fish i added from QT ( always add stress guard once a week with no problems from skimmer) I used TM classic salt a couple months ago then switched to IO and this last WC i switched back to TM classic. Temp - 75.8 ; S.G. - 1.025, all other parameters good but after WC skimmer started pushing out clear foamy liquid and was overfilling cup - which has a tube near top the directs overflow back to skimmer. These were big frothy bubbles quickly filling up cup. I tried reducing air intake but didn't help - by doing this there were a ton of micro bubbles being produced that were even getting past the sponge which is suppose to stop them. Thought maybe skimmer needs to be cleaned out - haven't done it in several months, but after thorough cleaning and starting up again the frothy bubbles started filling up the cup again. Never had this problem b4 even when i bought skimmer and had break in period, never had this type of foam. As of now skimmer is turned off. Any advice appreciated!!!

It’s possibly the stress guard. Or there was actual soap on you if you contacted the water or a contamination in your water change station. Let it all skim out. Keep an eye on salinity.

UPDATE : let skimmer do it's thing as u suggested extended the drain hose from the cup to a bucket. Skimmer finally stopped foaming like crazy at about 10pm last night. Lost about 1.5 qts. total. Then did a 10% wc. Everything back to normal. I guess maybe it was the seachem stress guard. Will try a test on my 20g QT ( no fish in it now ),
That has the new IM nuvo DC skimmer. Will add extra amount of Stress g. & see what skimmer does.
