need help with skin patch

Fish has a brown patch on 1 side. Still active but has lost some appetite. What can I do about it? Thanks!

What tankmates does he have? Do you have the ability to move him to a quarantine tank?

He?she is alone in the hospital now. Should be in good hands, haha!

That looks as though it may be a bacterial infection. Keep a sharp watch on it, and see if you can source the "triple-threat" antibiotics: Kanaplex, Metroplex and Furan-2 work well together, targeting a wide variety of bacteria.

Thank you very much Bruce! The patch got a little bigger 2 days ago and she started to scratch it against rocks,etc. Definitely "not" parasite so I started dosing Melafix. She's still active and eats well.
Let's keep our fingers crossed. 4-5 more doeses to go...........

Melafix can be useful against some bacteria - but it's not very strong stuff. If it's what you can get, go ahead and use it, but if you can get the "triple threat" antibiotics listed above, or Nitrofuracin Green - those would be a stronger medicine, should you need it.

Like @Maritimer said, hit it with the trifecta as listed in his original post, it works wonders. All 3 are usually readily available on Amazon prime if you don't have a local pickup option.

I've been lucky to be able to acquire 10+ healthy fish from a LFS. They all got quarantined and made it to the display except this gramma.
But I still have 10+ more fish to go so it's a good idea to get what you guys recommend and be ready, if not just for the gramma.
