Hi sorry if I'm a little slow I kind of got thrown into caring for this aquarium. My dad bought a salt water aquarium that had been previously owned with all of the livestock and coral in it. I understand fish decently well but not coral care.

We have some of what I believe to be zoas that after the move are looking a little pale and closing off. They have some web like looking fungus on them and I'm concerned they may be dead or very sick. I'm looking to see if any one can help with suggestions on what to do to fix them up or if they may be to far gone. Any suggestions help.

Thanks in advance.

Those appear to be grandis palythoa. Generals pretty hardy. How long has the tank been up. I’m sure they will be fine if you give them time and proper conditions. If they are still closed in a week after the tank move come that’s when I would start worrying.

The tank has been up for almost 2 weeks with a speed up cycle using quick start. The first couple of days they where fine but we are now at 4 days of being closed. I ordered some reef rods thinking that may help but I haven't had a chance to try it yet as I'm still waiting on delivery. I will wait as suggested and report ba k in a couple more days after feeding them. Thank you for your help.

They appear to be hanging on but you'll want to run all the necessary tests.

Salinity
Ammonia
Nitrite
Nitrate
Alk
Ca
Mg

It appears to be slothing damage/dead tissue. Hard to tell based on picture. Get these tests done and we can narrow it down to what's happening.
