Hi guys.

just got my first chalice and ealier this day it looked fine, and then i looked again this evening, and i can see that it has lost some of its skin.

i can't seem to find if it gets too much light, or why it is loosing the skin.

just tested my params, and everything looks fine, only the ALK is a bit too high at 14, but none of the other corals are bothered by it.

has anyone else tryed this before and know how to fix it? :)

Thanks

Your other corals would be used to the alk of 14, but If this coral came from a tank with lower alk (my alk is 8.6 for example), then going to your tank of high alk might have caused this.

It could possible be a light issue

Would need more details on your tank to provide more guesses.

i run a maxspect razor 420R at 80% white, and 100% bllue.

The chalice is 5inches above the bottom of the tank.
is there anything else you need to know?

i have hammers placed higher in the tank with stronger light on em, and they thrive
