Skeletor and banded snake eel

Thanks!

The eels might be a problem with many of the fish you’re hoping to keep. The gold flake, emperor and flame might be problematic if you want corals so maybe one of them instead of all three (I’ve had pretty good luck with flames).

Instead of 9 anthias, I would think about 3-5. They need to eat frequently so they tend to be big drains on water quality.

Triggers can be challenging with a mixed fish population like this so I tend to stay away from them because of that.

Nasos get really big and Achilles can be really mean.

I love the rest of your list and this is by no means trying to be dictatorial. Just my perspective. I keep 8 tangs and several dwarf angels as well as several anthias in a 250 gallon system so thinking about how my fish interact and get along.

I love it! That’s similar to what I was thinking. What do you think about the following:

Angelfish
- [ ] Flame Angel
- [ ] Male Wantanabe
- [ ] Female Wantanabe
- [ ] Goldfake Angelfish
Anthias
- [ ] 9 Lyretail Anthias
Basslet
- [ ] Royal Gramma
Blenny
- [ ] Midas Blenny Yellow
Butterflyfish
- [ ] Copperband
- [ ]
Clownfish
Black gladiator and Orange gladiator
Goby
- [ ] Mandarin
- [ ] 2 Firefish
- [ ] diamond goby

Tangs
- [ ] Achilles Tang
- [ ] Gem Tang
- [ ] Naso Blonde
- [ ] Yellow Tang
- [ ] Hippo Tang
- [ ] White tail tang
Wrasse
- [ ] Blue streak cleaner wrasse
- [ ] Earmuff Wrasse
- [ ] Leopard Wrasse

with the Anthias I have a feeling a couple may not make it and I don’t want to have to add in more once some are gone.

Both of those eels are super reef safe so I’m not worried :)

I like it. I do think you’ll have to feel certain fish out like the mandarin. In a big tank like that with wrasses and some aggressive tank mates they may not do well. Same with the copperband butterfly.

I’ve been surprised with lyretails, from the right vendor and they all survive. I have 7 lyretails (6 females and one male), one evansi (4 did not make it) and one squareback female.

Very excited to have so many tangs. This is my first time with such a big tank and it opens up so many options!

Honestly the two eels on the list are fine with fish, skeletor is a pebbletooth (crustation eater) and a snake eel typically is very fish safe

If its a reef the emp will eat corals. My tiny one is already eating some in my reef! Lol. I think you should take the blonde naso completely off and sub for the regular naso if you have to have one. Blondes coming in are dying at an alarming rate and vetteguy and others are suspecting cyanide collection based on where they come from. Your eels may eat the cleaner shrimp, my snowflake did because she didnt get that they were trying to clean her!

Here are some of mine for inspiration. I went big because I fell in love with blue hippos.

Just a word of caution- This tank while it has nice volume is not as big as appears for many fish and with rock you have about 180 gallons total. Dwarf angel or two yes, anthias yes hippo tang or Tomini tang, blue throat trigger yes (I have mine for sale), leopard wrasse and shrimp - all yes

I will take yours I just want to make sure I can fit everything else first as it’s not a top priority fish for me!
