Hello R2R peeps. I am going to add the Aquatic Life T5/LED hybrid to my 150. My tank is not the long version its the xhigh deep version only 4ft (I regret not going long) anyways I already have 2 AI Hydra 52 HD running. The plan is to get rid of the shaded areas in the tank. My problem is that this is my first tiime using T5 and I don't know which bulbs to use or get can anyone tell me which combo of bulbs to get ? Thanks.

You should get lots of ideas here...I use 2 ati coral plus and 2 blue plus with my kessil. I like the look. Many will likely use more blues.

If you like a blue tank and want to keep a lot of par , 3 b+ and a c+

A med blue tank with a lot of par 2 b+ 2 c+

A blue tank with a bit less par 2 b + 1 c+ 1 P +

Those are kinda the standards.

You can also go all b+ and add white with the leds to taste.

I have 4 Hydra 26hd’s running the AB+ program and the hybrid fixture, I’m running 2 B+ and 2 Coral+. I like it only because I wired one bulb from each side to one ballast and I have a peninsula tank so the two outer bulbs are the B+ and the two inner bulbs are C+. The C+ only turn on for 4 hours when the Hydra’s are at peak intensity and the B+ are running 8 hours, Hydras run 12hrs. If you plan on running them all on then I would opt for 4B+ as the color is great, not too blue either. The coral+ is almost white.

The cp is definitely whiter than bp.

These are great Ideas. I would like a lot of Par as I am filling my tank with SPS things are mixed but the plan is to go sps dominated. I do have a few acans on the bottom.

What kind of color are you going for? Windex blue or the color you see snorkeling or something in between? I like the Aqua Blue Special, but I prefer a natural snorkeling look not windex.

I am running a 4' with 2 HD 26 over a Waterbox 135.4. For bulbs I used 2 B+ 1 Acintic 1 C+ and at 6" according to Seneye I am getting 600-700 Par.

I like to use 6500k and Actinic - one on each side. These bulbs have spectrum that the panel does not offer and you can always "tune" your color with the LEDs.
