My urgent question is how much product do i dose to not exceed the 1/2ml per gallon? as seen here

Do not dose all at once. This should be slowly dosed into your aquarium preferably in the morning when the PH is lower. Do not exceed 1/2 ml per gallon per 12 hour period. Monitor pH while dosing. Do not allow immediate impact of pH to be more than +/-0.20.

what r u dosing? and why?
tank specs?

I am dosing red sea abc+ liquid below you can see my parameters and what i am having difficulty with :) Alkalinity is the difficulty im dealing with

Thank you so much! i appreciate it! Just to clarify its the directions of usage and warnings for Alk im having trouble with :)

you can go 70ml per day which would be 1/2ml per gal. I have never used these products so i am not sure of the impact. but alk is alk and it shouldnt be dosed all at once. Impact on alk should be minimum and not to exceed 1 dkh per day. lets see what others have to say.

Note: i would break that 70ml per day over multiple hours...

is 4 times a day good enough? and if so for how many days?

4 times a day will be impacting Alk at 0.25 dkh per dose. i would try to break it down to where is more constant like every hour. maybe more like 6ml every hour for 12 hrs.
thats what i do when using sodium carbonate or bicarbonate to increase alk. not sure on foundation products.

Okay i will do that :) and for the others how much would i need to dose and how many hours? Thank you!

according to the calulator you posted, your tank is 139gal and current alk is at 7.5 and you want 8.6 dkh.
cal is at 221 and you want 480 and mag is 1190 and you want 1440.

Alk should never be dosed to go up more than 1 dkh per day. (maybe 1.5 dkh if you ramp up slow over 24 hrs)
Cal is very low at 220 and needs to be dosed no more than 50 ppm per day. Also 480 is on the higher end of the acceptable range. i would like to see it around 420-440 range.
Mag at 1190 is fine but wont hurt to bring it upto 1300-1500 range and it shouldnt be dosed more than 100 ppm per day.

for how many days? its not a fixed answer.
for this you will need to know how much alk your tank drops daily. Then you will have to figure out how much product you will have to dose to compensate for the consumption on daily basis. That would be your magical number to dose daily but that too will change as corals grow or you place more corals and demand goes up or down. its a balancing act for which you will have to constantly check and adjust for, Although as you and your tank mature dosing adjustments will become small and less frequent.

Okay! Could you please help me out in telling me how many times a day and how many days to dose it up to the proper levels for each element? Thank you so much!

very true! but right now i just need to get it up to those levels then i can test how much daily it would need :)

according to the calculator you need to come up 200ppm on cal. from 220 to 420ppm which requires 680 ml of the product you are using.
That is a large bump. I would not go above 50ppm per day so this dosage will have to be broken over 4 days.
680/4=170ml per day. That too needs to be broken down to 12 hrs on the opposite schedule from alkalinity otherwise you will see milkiness and white precipitation.... so 14ml per hour for 12 hrs for cal.
Mag can be dose in between and should not exceed 100ppm per day. You are trying to go from 1190 to 1440. that is a jump of 250ppm so lets break that down to 3 days. 85 ml per day. that is 3 ml per hour for 24 hr.

Thank you so very much!!! okay i will do that and would it be fine to dose calc at night and alk in the morning or vice versa? Also doing Alk as you said i would be done after one day of dosing? so that means after the 12hr mark i should then test for daily consumption and appropriate it to that dose?

it depends on the lighting schedule of your tank. When tank lights are on pH is higher and low when dark. also depending on product being used for alk. Some products will lower pH temporarily and some will increase. (like carbonate and bicarbonate)
First find out if dosing alk foundation caused drop in pH or increase. if it drops then you need to dose alk during day when pH is higher or if dosing alk makes pH go higher then dose at night when pH is lower.
cal has to be opposite to alk, mag wont make a difference when.

okay awesome but i will say that my ph is consistent at 8.2 :) but i will double check in the day to see where its at!

you can do a simple test. Pull the pH probe out of tank and place it in a clean cup with tank water. pH should read the same in cup as in tank. then add a few drops of alk foundation in the cup and watch for pH changes. up or down.
