So I'm upgrading from a 60 gal to 90 gal tank. I have 80 lbs of dry Marlo's Reef Rock that has been cycling / curing for four months now. Plan is to use existing substrate and water from existing tank. What I'm going to need help with is hopefully borrowing a few Brute trash cans and a couple of heaters for a few days. Also if someone is willing to help with the switch over that would be cool. Exsisting tank has minimal rock "under statement " and minimal corals. Plans are to do this in February. Lunch and or a few beers are on me. The 90 gal was Pete's over at RNN. Thank you to any of you for considering my plea.

@pjb9166 sound great and please post some pics of the switch over. Hope some locals can join in on the fun.

I personally enjoy the build as much as the outcome. :)

Some Pictures of current tank.
Curing Rock and the new tank also the structure I'd like to recreate out of that rock. It's been cycling and curing for four months. I just recently the past few weeks started adding light, a few fish and a source of rock with coralline algae.
Also a picture of the 90 Gal before I got it.
Not the best of pictures. Taken with a old crApple 5c. So yes some large containers to retain the water and a few to make up the water needed for the new tank and a couple of heaters are needed.
Like I said lunch and a few beers for some help. I'd like to get this done around the second weekend in February.

Hi. I might be able to help a bit if you are still in need. I live in Bloomfield right on the Simsbury town line. I have a small 32g garbage bin on wheels that you can use if it would help. I also have a heater or 2 lying around which you are welcome to use as well. Depending on which weekend you do the actual transfer, I might be able to assist with that as well. Let me know if any of this sounds useful.

That would be awesome. Thank you. This will be my first switch from one tank to the other. I live a stones throw from Emmons. Just across the street. So we are practically neighbors. Tell you what. You tell me when would be convenient for you. You have no clue how much I appreciate your offer of assistance . I'll send you a PM with my contact info and address.

Ya. I promised my wife this time around was fish only. We see how long that lasted. LOL....

I’m new to the club, but not to the hobby, and can help as needed. I’m from Windsor, and am frequently in Simsbury for ISCC hockey (or a trip to Emmons) to chat with Steve, Pam, or Jeff.

Thank you for replying my friend.
I tell you what. When Mike gets back to me. I can let you know. If you and Mike would like to take a trip over maybe we could have a short meeting of sorts. Y'all can see what we are dealing with and where everything stands at this point. You both might even give some ideas that could help me be totally prepared for the project. PM Sent

Hey Gordon.
How was your trip last month? So I never did the tank transfer. Unfortunately still out of work. One of the club members is trying to get me into his work. "Fingers crossed"
I am really contemplating just doing a stand transfer. Just because I would have a proper sump and can use my new pumps etc. Would also give me the space for a fuge.
just need a few large containers to temporarily hold my existing water.
Listen I had seen your post. Not that I'm really setup for it right now but I 'd be interested in some Chaeto. Definitely because of the pods.As my tank was started with dry rock etc. Wouldn't have much of interest to you for trade. But maybe we could work something out?? Hate to see good Chaeto and pods go to waste. Lol..
