Need help with this on my sand

I use this for raising phosphates. And monitor with Hanna ULR.
I’ve found the Nyos Nitrate test kit the fastest and easiest to read. It’s pretty dang accurate also.
For dosing phosphates.
Cheapest place I’ve found it is amazon. There’s a calculator on the back of the bottle also.
Seachem Flourish Phosphorus 500ml

Where do you get your water for topping off ...do you buy it ....or make it yourself ...same question for your salt water for water changes...??
Honestly I don’t have any r/o stage setup or saltwater setup here at home .. every other week I refill 3 five gallon jugs 2 are salt and 1 is r/o ... so I get everything from LFS . I don’t make any of it . This my standard ATO that came with the tank I refill it everyday

Hhhmmm . So you dont know if their rodi is 0...do they test it if front of you ...can you ask them too check it and show you ...
My advice watch 52weeks of reefing from BRS ...
Invest in some test kits and take control for your self....keep asking questions on here if your unsure of anything..

+1 to the advice above.
Purchasing an Ro/Di unit is one of the best things you can purchase for both making saltwater and top off. Will save you time and money! And will also give you peace of mind knowing your source water is 0 TDS. It’s also a lot cheaper in the long run VS going to to the local fish store. And gives you the option of using whatever salt mix you want. Brute trash can with dolly attachment will save you from lugging around water also! I would recommend at least a 6 stage unit with dual DI resin canisters. Dual inline TDS monitors, pressure gauge, membrane back flush valve, all that good stuff! I’d also recommend installing a T/diverter valve before your first stage of Di to avoid tds creep upon start up. That way and high tds water can be flushed down the drain before diverting it through your Di resin. Without over complicating things “The 52 weeks of Reefing is a great series for someone starting out in the hobby” !!! Use it to your advantage!!! Back when I started, books were about the only source of info. There were a few websites back then. Mainly wetwebmedia and the “other” one. But, nothing like reef2reef. This is by far the best online community there is!!! Enjoy the journey:)
