Any body know what this is? It is taking over my tank. Was only in a few spots at first but after a cleaning it spread.
Red Plate like form of algae or something

Ok I haven't seen them move but I haven't had time to sit and watch either, how would I get rid of them?

Thanks ok I just went and looked and they do move! Thanks for the input everyone

I highly advise you to turn off the aquarium lights and then shine a bright white light near the front of the tank. The flatworms will mass near the light, so you can use airline tubing to siphon a bunch of them out.

After that, dose Flatworm Exit. But follow the directions very closely and use carbon in a media reactor to remove any toxins from the dying worms. Failure to do this can result in you nuking your tank.

if you have a sump, clamp an extra sock down in there, use humblefish's recommended technique, but you have a nonstop flatworm vacuum if you drain to a separate sock above the water line in your sump. when done yank that sock out and flush them down the sink. Ive heard horror stories of people overdoing the flatworm exit and nuking their tank from the overnight massive die-off as stated so definitely be cautious if going that route, it can be detrimental. Good luck!
