Need help with Tunze 9001 DC skimmer

Hey folks, my first post here so bare with me if I'm doing something wrong.

I'm pretty new to salt water.
Currently running 14.5 gallons

2 days ago I bought Tunze 9001 DC. I'm not sure if the skimmer working properly.

Controller have scale from 20% to 100%. If I turn on 100% cup is filled up in 2 sec.
Is it supposed to run on 100% all time?
If I turn on 40-50% no foam going in skimmer cup, foam just stay in that little chamber inside suction cup, if I turn controller above 50% suction cup fill up pretty quickly.

Is this normal for new skimmer?

Also I'm not sure if I place skimmer correctly?

new skimmers could take 2 weeks to fully break in and run. I'd keep it around 40-50% and see what happens in another 7-10 days. You want the foam just at the top line where it is and when enough organics are in the chamber it'll push over.

Skimmers are like those coin push arcade machines. You can dump in 10 quarters and win nothing. Then the next quarter knocks down a bunch and you get a bunch of tickets.
