Hello,
I’m having some trouble with the flow in my tank.
It’s a 40 breeder, drilled with a sump. The return is towards the left, the overflow is towards the right. With a syncra 3.0 turned down half way.
I have a jebao pp-4 and pp-8.
For those not familiar with Jebao, there are settings for pulsing, sine wave, and random. But it seems that when using random mode the power is not adjustable. So using both on random will be too much.
I have various frags right now, a single montipora frag and a bunch of softies and LPS. Eventually it will be a mixed reef with a decent amount of SPS.
Should I:
(A) Use the single pp-4 on random, which will at times be full speed at 1000GPH
(B) Use both on either pulsing or sine wave, but turned down.
(C) Something else?
And is there a rule of thumb regarding placement?
Thanks,
Anthony
