The second membrane vendetta continues.
If the membranes last half as long but I made twice the water an I still behind. No, I saved all that time making water and that is valuable in and of itself.

Yes, there are many posts on this forum, by people like @Buckeye Hydro and @AZDesertRat, both of whom actually work in water filtration and actually know what they're talking about. Here are only a handful of links that describe why low waste water ratios are problematic.

I don't know about you, but I don't work in water treatment, so I rely on the input from people who do. @AZDesertRat is one of those people, and they have been very outspoken about the poor return on upgrading to a dual membrane setup. Here are the first 10 posts I could find.

I don't have a problem with anyone who wants to run dual membrane setups, and I will never attack someone personally for running dual membranes. As long as you're not hurting me or someone else, I really don't care what you do. Having said that, people who know what they're talking about with regards to water filtration say that dual membrane setups are at the very least a poor ROI, if not a bad idea outright. Additionally, if you understand how RO membranes work and why waste water is necessary, it's very easy to see why dual membrane setups can be really problematic. As a result, I will recommend against dual membrane setups any time I see them recommended for the wrong reasons. I call that using the best available information to make an informed decision and recommendation. If you call that a vendetta, then I suppose I have a vendetta.
