Need help with your aquascape?

You need some more rock in front to create a better sense of depth, with bays and a valley. I would break that structure into 2, but not in the middle.

Your tank is very narrow, so it's all about the profile.

That being said, I would avoid having rock right next to the sides ofnthe tank, it makes it look small.

I made a video about peninsula tanks with some layouts that can be applied to your case.

It's a good start. I would make it more asymetric (the top of the structure a bit to the left or right) and create a bay (just not centred).

@Ardeus, very cool that you are giving your feedback to everyone. I just pulled everything from my DT and changed up my rock work and wanted to get your opinion. I like the left side, but not overly fond of the middle and right side. My tank will have mostly SPS, fish, and zoas. I have everything in my frag tank just waiting for me to get a final design on my scape. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. It's not terrible right now, but could use a second set of eyes. I also like a lot of caves so to speak because I keep a lot of tangs and want them to have places to swim through if aggression kicks in.

Please break that wall into two I think you have too much rock.

Get all the reef plates into a single structure, just don't use them vertically. Right now they are clashing against the other rock.

If you want it to look more natural you have to make the rocks fit into each other as seamless as possible.

Don't put rock right next to the front glass.

Here are a few ideas. You could do something like the sleeping dragon layout.

Here’s our 93gal cube. We just set it up. Some fish in but no coral yet.

I like it. You managed to use the rocks in a way that makes that island look like a single structure. It's much harder than it looks.

I think you did a great job. I would just make the valley wider, not by moving the structure to the sides, but by moving one of them forward and the other towards the back. An extra inch in that valley will make a huge difference.

Get that coral out of the valley

The nano just needs lots of corals to hide those horizontal plates.

Rotate each of the structures 10 or 20 degrees. You will gain a bit more space on the sides and create a better sense of depth.

I would also put a rock on the sand in front of the left structure to make it more interesting depth wise.

What about removing the rock I have circled to widen the valley? Will that be too much?

I knew you were going to say get that Coral out of the valley. I put it there to protect it from too much flow but I'll have to move it instead

The Nano will be broken down and the corals and fish move over once the algae bloom in the new tank subsides.

The main problem I see is the symmetry. The tank already seems full without coral, I would remove some.

Sometimes I feel like I'm pushing my concept of what looks good to me too much.

As you say it would be much better to be able to talk to each person face to face and looking at the tank, to understand better what kind of tank each one of us wants to achieve.

How will you sustain that structure without that rock?

I have an acrylic rod from the big rock above it into the base in the back. It should hold without that rock but I would have to see. I was thinking it it would also create a nice overhang.
