Do you have any idea of what kind of aquascape you want?

Feel like building a sps tower (hopefully looks like a tree once the corals grow out) on the left side of the overflow box and LPS more on the right side of the overflow (not as tall as the sps in height) then everything else spreading around the tank base the the color and flow.

I need some recommendations. I just upgraded my tank and feel that the new setup is a bit barren. I have additional rock in my sump and in a curing bin that I could add.

The 2 structures are roughly the same height, but the main issue is the lack of sand :)

Haha thats true! Should i just go ahead and go bare bottom or add more sand? Also in terms of the hard scape would my best course of action be to add coral or rock to one side in order to build it up?

Definitely too barren. Maybe create 2 tower like structures on both ends or one tower in the middle. Allows to make it seem large but also more swim space and hiding space

Ended up whit this.
The two tanks are now cycling/curing. The DT is 8 feet long and the small in the bottom is 2,5 feet High.

I wouldn't mess too much with it. That rock is a bit too close to the front glass.

Ardeus, I would welcome suggestions and feedback. Thanks!

I like it as it is, but I would take care in making sure the corals aren't going to close most of the separations you have there.

Any suggestions or pointers for my 125g is really appreciated.
Thank you!!

Good call Ardeus! It was a bit easier to get more space between 2 islands instead of 3.

If you want to go with a single structure, I would try to fit the rocks better into each other.

Right now, you get the pile of rocks look because there's lots of little holes. Most of these holes are so small that your fish can't get through them.

Make 3 or 4 passages but make the rest of the structure more cohesive.

Alternatively, take some rock out and create 2 different structurew.

This is a 4ft long 60 gallon but everything will be moving into a 6ft long 125 and will be primarily viewed from the front and left side.

Is this too much rock in this 10 gallon?

Hope you could help. I've been at this for a few days and am still unsure. My tanks a 4x2 x2 120. Here's what I have so far. I defiantly want a small rock up front to make a zoa garden to try to keep it in one place. Thoughts? Tips?

@Ardeus, I finally set my tank up and today I purchased the bulk of my rock. I would love to hear your opinion (though I reserve the right to let mine prevail :)). I just got it in and plan on tweaking the shelf rock along the bottom. For now I am interested in your thoughts on the two main structures, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am really loving the protrusions and shapes in the large rock top left.

This below is the rock I had been curing previously before adding the three large rocks today.

There are several more pictures and angles in my build thread in this post:

@Ardeus thank you for helping so many with our aquascapes. I have been working on my scape for almost a year in hopes of upgrading from 125 g to 180 g. If the upgrade doesn't happen, I would like to use this in the 125g replacing what I have in there now. I won't be adding any other corals than what I currently have. As much as I love corals, I love the look of the rocks as well and I don't want to completely hide the structures. I like to think of it like landscaping. I don't want to hide my house, I want to give it curb appeal. Below are pictures of what I've been working on and a pic taken tonight of my current tank with the corals I will be using. Thank you in advance for your help.

I'm mostly satisfied with my scape, but could always use some suggestions on improving it. The tank is 6', so I couldn't really do a sand level, mid level, and surface level picture and still get the whole tank in the picture. Hoping these will suffice.

These 2 rocks look artificial to me

Other than that, I would get rocks away from the side glasses and try a 2 island setup.
