I’m game for this. Set it up when I first started. Don’t necessarily like the pile of rock look now. Just haven’t done anything because of the pita it’s be to rescape without a great vision first.

I forgot to upload picture ‍♂️

Hey. I could use your knowledge on my new scape. I like it, but it seems like something is a bit off. I took the pictures in the morning sun - that's why the light looks wired.

Kindve hard to see what’s going on because of the lighting, my phone sucking at capturing a decent picture, and the rocks all being perfectly white.

Your tank looks too full already even without corals.

I would try a completely new layout to start with. I don't think you need that much rock.

If you decide to try something different, try the following:

- Avoid horizontal or vertical lines (they look artificial) and right angles.

- Keep some space between the rocks and the left and right glass, the tank will not look as full.

If you didn't already have thoses SPS in there I was going to say that tank would be a great seahorse tank :D

I wouldn't change a thing.

Ok I'll play...

Here's a couple of suggestions to tryout:

- That canyon is splitting the tank in exactly 2 halves. Could the entrance move a couple of inches to one side? Maybe you could remove a rock.

- It also goes straight to the back. If it creates a diagonal path it will look longer.

- I know it's a tough thing to do, but just yesterday I took my huge Sarcophyton to the store...

- I would make one of the structures noticeable higher than the other, either by using rock or coral.

I know the rock work is to high

1 - that rock is too close to the glass and it doesn't seem to add much to the layout.

2 - if you manage to tilt these vertical and horizontal lines the layout will look more natural

3 - the distance between this smaller middle structure and the other 2 is small and the corals will close those gaps. Maybe remove it?

I would consider moving that huge platform on the right to the left structure (maybe upside down?), so that you would have a huge island on the left and a smaller one on the right.

Any ideas for my tank pls

Your idea of the 2 islands will work very well. Make them with very different sizes and shapes and don't make them too high. Leave plenty of space around them and position the smaller one more towards the back. That way you increase the sense of depth.

Decided to lay out my rock and see what I liked in the tank, keep in mind there will be roughly 2 inches of sand as well. Tank will be mostly z's and p's and anemones :)

If the scale is correct, isn't that too big?

If you just remove the other stuff you have on the sand it will improve a lot.

This is an awesome thread idea!!
Heres my first tank... Dont mind the diatoms, its about halfway done cycling. And the heater will eventually be put in the sump.
