OK so I made the stupid mistake of putting zoas on my main rocks and now Nirvana zoas are out of control. I am not sure how to stop this from growing up to my sps? I can't take the rock out as everything is cemented together as one whole piece. I tried to scrape some of the zoas away and see something squirt out of them, not sure if they are toxic, will let you know if i get sick.
is kalk pretty much my only solution? is there any corals that will sting them so they stop growing up my rocks ? Need help asap.

F-Aiptasia by Franks tanks seem to melt zoas pretty effectively if thats your aim.

You need to pull this rock and be prepared to ship to me and I pay full costs for ship.

Zoa’s Have one of the most dangerous toxins in the world. It is deadly in fact

Having same issue. Never fragged so very afraid of even trying. Following.

I'll take whole rock, then minimal handling

here is an excuse to buy another coral.

If you put something aggressive next to them, they will not be able to grow. Kalk works, f-aiptaisa works, and there are some other things related to aiptasia that works.

Or send @vetteguy53081 the rock lol. That works too.

On another note. I have zoas growing around acros and they have never grown up healthy ones. Acros can and will dish out some pain if they need to. They have mesenterial filaments that they can defend themselves with as well.

OK again if you read what i wrote, the ROCK can NOT come out. All the rock in that tank is all cemented together. alk? i will need a lot and will spike ph in tank.

will a hammer sting zoas?

Yes hammers will sting zoas. If it is effective or not I am not sure.

Another thing to look at.

You can buy some cheap tiles or flat frag plugs, put them where you want the zoas to stop growing. The zoas will grow onto the tiles/flat plugs. When the tiles or plugs get full, remove them and sell or trade to LFS for store credit.

If the rock is oddly shaped, you can use reef putty to form it around the rock and then remove the putty to let it cure. From there put cured putty back in that spot so it conforms to the rock, fasten it with a little super glue and let them grow onto it. Remove when full and sell or trade. Little pressure is all that will be needed to remove it.

thanks all for the suggestions. i am not sure what i am going to do. i have over 100 polyps on 2 rocks. i just put some cheap acros near it to see if they will sting it.
