Need help!

I bought a green mandrin from my LFS two days ago because the guy said he had seen him eating frozen brine shrimp. But I have not seen him eat anything I have a few pods in my tank but not many. What can I do to keep him from starving I can somewhat see the line on his side? He is my favorite fish and I really want him to survive please help.

Find some pods to populate your tank with. I have had a couple mandarins that ate pellets and frozen, but it is not guaranteed unless it is one of the ORA tank raised (which still might not be 100%). Short of that, catch it and get it to an established tank with a good pod population.

Yes If you want this glorious fish to survive please get it to a tank that can sustain it with a population of pods!! please..

I have some pods on the way should be here soon this week. Would he just be scared and not eating now? Because I have only had him for 2 days.?
