I have been using fritz salt for the past year now. I have a mixed lps and softie tank so I never worried about testing water Params except for my salinity since all of my corals have nice colors and seem very healthy. I decided to add a small frag of sour apples birds nest and noticed that day after day my birds nest polyps started receding.
So I decided to check my cal and alk params just to see where they are at and for some reason my alk is at 5.2 (tested with a brand new Hanna alk tester) and my cal is at the 380 mark (tested with an old Red Sea cal tester).
What is the safest way to raise my alk without hurting my corals ?
Mind you I was doing a 5gl water change weekly since I got the new fritz salt. Any suggestions ?

Kalkwasser dosing through your ATO is a good option if your pH isn’t already around 8.3.

I use the same salt and just noticed the similar occurring. My alk was low so I just started manually dosing esv 2 part. I’ve been monitoring for a few days and after the first big dose im testing for the maintance dose and it seems to be a lot less and has been super easy. No adverse effects on anything in my tanks either. Hope this helps.

water changes should bring your params back. Did you test new batch of salt water? It would seem odd for it to be that low. What size tank? I am not too familiar with that salt. However, make a new batch of salt and test that and see if it matches per manufacturer.

I use fritz in one of my tanks and have noticed Low ph, otherwise good salt mix
