Need help

I have a Naso tang that has been in QT for a week now and yesterday I noticed a dark spot on the tang. Today I checked on the tang And the dark spot has now turned into some type of sore. Any idea what this is. He is the only fish in this QT tank.

Are you using a meds in QT now?

I treated him with Prazi Pro but that was on Wed.

This looks like some sort of a bacterial infection, especially since the water looks a little cloudy. A lot of people recommend using Metroplex and Kanaplex together to cure these infections, since those combined give a range of antibiotics to the fish.

Hi. New to salt water and first time forum user; so I hope that I am using it correctly.

i have an Aqua Nano 30, 22L / 4.6gal with a wave maker? Fan.. thing; I thought having this would produce more flowfor corals; when I eventualget around to purchasingthem as I have just finished the cycling process.
I have 2 clowns as pictured. They seem happy but notice white spots, either ich or debris ?

+1 ^^^ agreed it looks like a bacterial infection has set in. Using a wide spectrum antibiotic is called for asap. On tangs and butterflies, recommend NFG powder. It's amazing. But a bit hard to get a hold of other than online. Another option is the "trifecta" of Metro + Kanaplex + Furan2 this combination covers just about every need.

Hey bud, Simply start your own thread and I am sure you can get a bit of help! Just from first glance i think you are correct in the thought that your fish look like they have Ich but really tough to see in the pictures provided. I know it can be tough getting good pictures but the better the picture the more folks can help!!

Going into work late this morning so I can run to my LFS and pick up the "Trifecta" and get the treatment started. Thanks for the help.

NFG powder is commonly used by the outdoor koi pond folks. Highly recommend NFG.

Just wanted to tank everyone for the help but the tang didnt make it.

I need to look for a new place to get my fish. Maybe my next attempt will be online?
