Need help......

Hi there iam very new to this hobby and I’ve found a tank but was wondering if someone could tell me if it’s even worth buying it’s second hand fluval 240 but I can’t get my head around them two holes shouldn’t there be a return at the other side????any help would be appreciated

Keep it, but tanks are cheap. one is intake other is return - standard

Looks like the weir is missing a partition that seperate them two holes from the main tank the flow and return would go down one hole into sump and back up the other into display its normally best to have 3 holes

1outlet
1overflow
Saying that my freshwater tank only has two holes but I'd rather 3 because it the outlet gets blocked you will have all the sump pumped into the tank and probably a big mess

Ok thanks for that and that’s wot I thought the guy who is selling this tho has been pretty honest about it and said it needs re sealing which I was thinking of getting this as a project but if u think it’s not worth the bother then iam not gunna bother if it’s to much hard work lol thanks and the guy is only asking £65 for it so would u give it a go or look for summat more sufficent??cheers again

Cheers for the reply again and yes it is cheap and my budget is not very much at the moment that’s why I considered this one as a project over a few months and yes for sure I’ll do a build thread so that ppl can see wot I do with this tank cheers again
