I have an 75 Gal tank with an overflow system with 2 U tubes. Yesterday I shut the tank off to do a small water change, and when I turned it back on and added more water the overflow quit draining. The back side of the overflow just filled up and almost overflowed. Any suggestions? Now my tank has been off for over 24 hours. What should I do?

Can you post a pic? Like jekyl said you may need to re start the siphon on the U tubes or something may be clogging the down pipe?

You were right. I removed the silencer, now it is running. Do I need to leave the silencer out then? Thank you.
Silencer might need to be cleaned, or adjusted, or both? With out seeing it I am not sure. Something is wrong with it. I have had the air line in mine clog with algae before but that only makes it noisy. Can you post a pic?

There is definitely still air in one of the U pipes. As far as the silencer, I have The same one, you may be limiting the flow too much with that silencer considering the two U pipes are moving a lot of water. What kind of gph flow is your return pump?
