Need help!

Hello everyone! I am running a waterbox 110.5 X marine (I forgot the name but it’s something like that). I went from a nyos skimmer to no skimmer and just a fuge because my nitrates would never come up they are fine but I want to add my skimmer again since I’m going to add more fish eventually. My question is I already have a huge amount of chateo that grew in no time. I just trimmed it back over half way. But I want to keep the fuge and add the skimmer. Is there a way I can add a baffle to the stock sump(will add pictures soon)? Or is there an easy way to separate the section?

You could use a piece of eggcrate to segregate the algae from the skimmer.

That is a smart idea! Would the aqua mesh black 1 extra coarse from BRS work as well or do you think egg crate would be good enough?

My only concern would be how much it might slow down my flow. I have the black and blue version of that stuff and pulled it from my tank within a week of putting it in. Wasn't a fan.
At least with the eggcrate, it's like it's not even there because it's so open.
