Okay I just did the air bubbles thing.

My tank tests at 7.98 right now with all lights on. My normal range is 7.7-8

Bubbler next to tank was 8.25

Bubbler outside was 8.4

My display tank is upstairs 180g. My frag tank is downstairs 500g next to my furnace etc but I have all the windows open in the basement. I also have my skimmer hooked up to 4 canisters all filled with soda lime. I don’t know what to do. I need higher PH.

Are you using limewater? If not thats the only other suggestion

Why do you feel like you need higher pH? My tank consistently runs low, but the good news is that it is consistent.

more aeration even with indoor air will raise the pH if those measurements are all accurate.

I use kalk. I do have a ton of aeration, I am not sure how I would get more honestly.

Does havin a canopy hurt the PH?

Randy do you suggest just adding a hydroponic air pump with mutiple wooden air stones in my large frag tank where there is a dead area so I dont have micro bubbles everywhere or would you recommend it in an overflow box to help with raising PH the most?

Also, would that work better then an airlift setup or a degassing tower? I have a lot of room in my basement so I am looking for the best way to raise my PH as I really dont like how low it drops at night 7.65

I might suggest a cheap hand-held pH pen to double check your measurements. Many people have chased pH only to find out that a probe or single pen is not accurate and the weakest link in the chain.

I have used 3 probes so I ruled that out.
