Looks like they might be some species of dinoflagellates, if you are able to get a picture under a microscope that would be best.

Thank you Tim. I was kind of thinking it was dinoflagellates. I strange strain of them. Hqve you ever had this problem Tim?

Is there a way I can edit the title of.this post to "Need I.D, it's killing my corals!"

I've had ostreopsis sp. Dinoflagellates that looked much different then your species, mine did kill quite a few corals though. I didn't use it however Dino-x may work for you.

What did you do to get rid of it, Tim.
I think you are right, with it being dinoflagelates

No water changes, limited feeding, and dosed live phytoplankton. I was wanting to use dinox but it didn't work on the species I had.
