This little guy was in one of the bags when I open a coral order from Aquarium Depot. It is attached to some rock and what looks like part of a bivalve shell. At first I though it was rock but then I noticed that it was soft. It is pear shaped and about 3/4 of an inch high. The soft fleshy area is at the bottom and extends equally on both sides of the more rigid center material. It does not appear to respond to light changes but it does retract when touched. Currently it is in my QT.
First question: What is it.
Second question: Is it a good addition to a reef tank.
