Bunch of the squishy guys on here, are they mushrooms?

Green and pink polyp guys. 8 total on the rock. Are they worms, corals?

What is this coral? I was talking about how I LOVE the Hammers and he said get this guy, he's cheap. I have two small hermits who WILL NOT leave the coral alone.

The guy on the upper right. There are three on the rock.

10 min later it did this

I'm guessing these are worms?

The thing that closed after 10min is a type of mushroom coral. That is how they capture and eat food. The thing you called worms are palys/button polyps, similar to zoanthids.

And the thing you got instead of the hammer is a torch, both are euphyllia.

Akitareefer,
Thanks. I googled and found the bullseye mushrooms, brown button polyps but not the others. Next to the brown button polyps I have black polyps?

Not sure on them but they are black/ charcoal color and do have a tiny mouth.

Do you have any idea on these lime green & pink guys? There are about 8 total on the rock. I also found another mushroom on the back of the rock but its white. I poked it and it curled into itself like the bullseyes.
Thanks for the help!

Lime green & pink, I can't get true colors with my iPhone :(

White mushroom type thing. Soft and has a center mouth. Slight pink tint

Pink and green thing if I had to guess.... small part of a cup coral? Not sure

The black polyps stump me

The white thing is probably a mushroom. When mushrooms or most corals are stressed they bleach. Put in the shade if possible

Does it help that the lime and pink guys are on a round rock (skeleton) about the size of a navel orange and it has divots like a gold ball. Sporadically in a divot it has a couple polyps? This "rock" was in the cured live rock bin at a local LFS. Very dark where these pieces are kept. I didn't see all of the goodies, I just liked the shapes. I'm attaching a picture of the full tank. The white mushroom type thing is on the bottom right towards the back of the tank.

I hope this helps. I bought all pieces for the rock but now that I know it's full of corals I want to make sure all are placed properly and cared for correctly.
Thanks again!

They can be really tricky to keep. They need solid tank parameters good flow and occasional feedings. People feed them foods like reef roids, eggs, rotifers and other tiny foods.

How about newly hatched Artemia? I hatch them out daily for my dwarf seahorses. Fed the black polyps tonight and they were happy happy happy. I used an eye dropper and just shot some at the mouth.

Is this thing good or bad?
ImageUploadedByReef2Reef Aquarium Forum1373215479.208682.jpg

I've found about 6 of them scattered on one piece of rock. Can't figure out of they are good guys or bad guys.

Thanks!
Steph

With Xenia or anthelia If you don't want them to spread put it on a plug and in the middle o the sand bed cuz they like to walk a little like shrooms. Great noob coral though but if u don't want it long term get it off the rock cuz they spread like crazy.
