I have what looks to be algae growing in a few spots in my tank. Some of the growths are black near the bottom where it attaches to the rock and the tops are grey to almost a white. I have tried to clean one of these of the rock with tooth brush and it's really attached to the rock? I am at a loss as to what I have and how to get rid of it.

Are all three pictures of the same algae in different areas of the tank? Color and texture? Easy to pull off or difficult?

Yes they are in 3 different places. The base on one of them is white and goes to a dark grey, the rest are grey to almost black, very fine texture and very hard to remove

Looks like turf algae

Good clean up crew can help. Also checking nitrate and phosphate to see what they are can help identify an issue
