I was gifted the following soft corals and was told they are easy. I failed to write down the names. Hoping I can get some IDing so I can make sure I am meeting their needs or possibly give them back.

Thank You!

1- Xenia
2- cloves
3- toadstool
4- devils hand leather
5- green star polyps

I see 6 pictures, I'll name what I can
1. Looks like a xenia, but the picture if hard to make out (for me at least)
2. Green Clove Polyp or Glove Polyp
3. Toadstool Mushroom
4. Some type of leather (sinularia maybe)
5. <don't know from picture, maybe a picture in white light>
6. Clove polyp I think

Thank You!

Looks like these are easier corals to care for after all. I am not too sure about the xenia or clove polyps though since it seems those could possibly take over.

I have a Xenia frag in my tank for like 5 months and it doesn't grow! Glad to because it can grow out of control. I think my tank is just to clean. I have Firework Cloves and love them. They grow well and look great. That last photo is GSP, green star polyp and will grow like crazy. If I was you, I would look at some ideas on what to do with GSP.

You can always keep these on ‘islands’ (movable/removable rocks) so if they grow crazy you can easily take action before they get someplace harder to control.
