Need ID on 2 possible pests please!

What are the red spots? I dipped and then scraped them off yesterday. They were really tough to get off with a scalpel. Almost like a little spikey thing and only on the bases of both torch and hammer. Also my torch has this wierd clam or limped looking think on it. I did not notice it when I was scraping but now can see its almost like it's open now.

Agree a picture of each would help. The red could just be a corraline algae of some sort. Limpets are a comment hitchhiker and generally reef safe cleanup crew.
 
From the description of the first one being spiky and on the base of hammers and torches I’m going to guess vermetid snails.
The second one is most likely some harmless bivalve.
