Need ID Please

Of one's I've seen in person, no. It'd be simple to plug both into an image search to see what I mean though.

For example, a couple you get from a search:

A. plumosum

H. hemprichii

If you have other info or experience to suggest otherwise please post it.

Those are really nice comparison photos, thanks @AcroNem! I don't completely trust google for more elusive IDs, it's so easy to change names and many things are misidentified across the world-wide web. I can definitely see the difference between the two and I agree with you the OPs critter looks like H. hemprichii.

Oh I completely agree, Google is a mess for ID's especially when you're trying to find specifics. Another reference I would rather cite is the book "invertebrates" by Julian sprung has some photos of both I would have used otherwise, it's a fairly accurate quick ID reference, but I'm away from home right now.

So you have Julien sprung's invert book? I was actually thinking about getting that one and another at the Orlando RAP. How do you like the book? Do you have any others by him, or other worthwhile books/authors I could look into? Sorry for going off-track, I'm trying to expand my book collection ;Bookworm.

I do, I have his "invertebrate" and "corals" book. The corals book is quite out of date now that a lot of coral taxonomy has been redone but the invert book I still use for quick references sometimes so I don't have to go digging for research papers. I also have Anthony Calfo's book of coral propagation I've had since I was like 12 when I started keeping reefs. It's fun to go back to that one sometimes. I just ordered the coral husbandry manual I believe Sprung was a part of putting together seeing as two little fishies sells it, I can review that if needed once I receive it.
