Here's my 15gal water topoff container that feeds a float valve in the sump

Not shown... is a pvc pipe (from ABOVE) that feeds new rodi water INTO this 15gal container.

The cool part is I can feed rodi water (from pvc pipe above) into this 15g container REMOTELY via my Apex

PROBLEM is if I fill it remotely, I don't know when to STOP the pump, before the 15g container OVERFLOWS.

I have a Wyze camera surveying the room and can easily, remotely put eyes on this 15g container as im filling it.

PROBLEM is I can't see THRU the blue plastic to see internal water level

GOAL: fill my container remotely thru Apex but visually see when to STOP THE PUMP via Apex.

I'm think of DIYing a water level gage outside the container to mark the internal level. Like a 1/4inch quick connect bulkhead that feeds some sort of external tube thst will visually show water level

Do they make such a 1/4in gadget?

How could I make my own? Tubing would have to be stiff tubing...

I would do something sticking up out of the lid. Maybe a driveway marker floating on a piece of styrofoam????

yep, i've thought of doing this too.

what you will need:

1/4 quick-disconnect/john guest bulkheads x 2
90 degree fitting x 2
1/4 acrylic tube x however long.

sometimes the bulkheads don't come with rubber gaskets, but I've found the one's you can get for the inside of garden hose adapters fit perfectly.

I think this could make your life a lot easier

I see its being fed by a pump, a float switch tied with a Apex breakout box would allow you to program the apex to cut off as soon as it gets to float.

This thing fails in the open position, it floods the tank dropping SG to 1.00x

My float valve fails in the open position and only 15g of rodi floods my 220ish gal volume and SG drops to 1.022
