So Ive decided to build a frag tank not connected to my current display. I traded some frags to a buddy of mine for a 90g tank drilled. Being that ive been in the hobby since the late 90s I have more then enough extra gear for this tank build. My question is on the filtration. I have a refugium sump I was going to connect to it, mp40, brs doser, skimmer, canister filter use to put media in. Being that this tank will have no sand and just some frag racks, a few fish maybe like 3-5 fish like a 6 line ect. Should I just do cheto in the sump, carbon, ect. I don't want to make the tank too clean (current issue in my sps dom display tank) or should I have some live rock in the sump for bio filtration.
Im looking to grow out mainly zoas and lps with a few sps as soon as the tank is broke in. Ive never had a strait frag tank before looking for some ideas and some examples from anyone that has one. Thanks
