ok.. R2R.. currently my chiller (jbj dba-200) is inline with one of my mag9.5 returns and i dont think enough heat exchange is going on.. so i'm gonna setup a small loop with in the sump.. the pump will be on the drain side and the return on the return side..

i'm looking for ideas for securing the return tube coming from chiller.. i really dont want it accidentally falling out and flooding and emptying the sump..

Maybe you could bend a piece of acrylic to hand over the edge of the sump with a hole drilled in it to hold the tubing? Kind of like a hang on filter sock holder on a smaller scale.

Return line runs past some return plumbing and I just zip tied it to my plumbing. Been like that for 4 months, doesn't budge.

All good ideas above. You could also use something similar to a Vortech "wire holder". It sticks to glass forever, is very small and out of sight. Use a clear zip tie to hold it in place. If you ever need to do maintenance, cut the zip tie and replace if needed. Cheap fix if you (or a local reefer) have a spare one of those wire holders. Each Vortech comes with 4 I think.

I am no pro at chillers, but i thought that you need low flow through them so that the heat exchange can happen. I think that chiller only requires 400-600gph. Doesn't a mag9.5 push way more than that.

Yeah I got a ball valve to slow it down.

And I zip tied it in there, thanks peeps.
